i'm in sapporo, japan now! arrived here at around 2030 after a connecting flight from tokyo. spent the whole day travelling! from changi, at 0615, to narita, at 1430. connecting flight was at 1835, so i explored narita airport! will post the pictures tomorrow. but it was really big and a real global city airport. there was starbucks, designtshirt.. all situated in 'airport mall'. i drank the freshest grapefruit juice today too! also, i ate at this japanese restaurant myself cos ANA only allowed mum to bring in one guest so she brought auntie elsie in. the meal cos about 1600 yen and it included sashimi, boiled root veggies, tempura, soba and one pint of draft! WOW (: it was a damn good meal after a long flight.

photos tomorrow!

also, went to zouk/phuture with bravo people on wed! it was damn fun and we opened three bottles. thanks dex too! though not many people turned up, whoever was there would tell you it was great still. got to know a few friends too. oh, and sean joined us. ah the usual him. haha. here's some of the night's pictures!

we're waiting for the other two, who didnt turn up. so dex took the tab!

oh and clement went. boy, did he go.... haha!

the before photo (:

and then... boom boom pow!

got to know agatha, sam, elizabeth, rowena... and more! haha, like aggie's gabriel's and yifan's jc friend and all. matthias was so high (:

sirrrrr! haha damn fun night.

spent this morning in orchid country club. drove around alot before that. mum said i drive way fast. think i better slow down.

gave almeric economic tuition at cafe cartel in j8. place reminds me of my time studying.. cliched but.. time flies. looking around, there were SO many other students studying in MacDonalds, Mos Burger, Coffeebean. why do we study away from home? comfort? well, shouldn't home be more comfortable? atmosphere? i think the library would be best. food and drinks? again, home. i think it is the presence of others doing the same thing, and the fact that being away from home means less immediate distractions. futhermore, you'll have to pay to distract yourself outside. ie, movies, arcade..

gotta teach women in love and wuthering heights tomorrow. even teaching can be draining.

gonna meet guan, alvin, fanglong and gang tonight at the sanctuary.

corona, black label combi time.

i resigned. im retired. wow. although it was only two plus months, i felt almost sad leaving. guess it doesnt take long to get attached to a place. now that work is done, im going to be focusing on... exercise and applications. (: and my driving test!

my desk!

i went to collect my black army specs see, well, i guess they are kinda angular right. just a bit.

i recently went to marina barrage! do go and check the place out, it really is quite the high tech reservoir. however, only go if you have a car. it is a bitch to call for a cab, cos no one knows marina barrage. i called every cab company in singapore to get my ass out of that place, but no.... none came. so i walked, or rather trekked, out of the place at 12 noon. sweat will be the least of your problems out there trust me. alright, apart from the slight inconvenience, i think everyone should go find out more about singapore's water conservation efforts! they even have a mini model of the barrage, that actually works. you can control the tide, etc. plenty of pics but i'll post another time!

went for Kumar: Stripped, Bare and Standing Up on the 21st of March. the show was rather funny but somehow i thought it would be funnier. still, it was a heartwarming showcase of his life. really interesting and worth watching! (: his jokes are really... haha m18.

and yesterday, sunday, i went for Coldplay: The Viva La Vida Tour Live in Singapore! BEST CONCERT EVER. Perhaps even better than Maroon 5's. They played multiple songs from previous albums like Speed of Sound, Yellow, Clocks.. and of cos the new ones too. Viva La Vida, 42, Cemetries in London.. ask anyone who went, I'm pretty sure it's thumbs-up. It probably will be in the papers tomorrow, check that out in Life, ST.

Sound quality was just nice, although i came out a little deaf. Maroon 5's were damn friggin loud. I came out impaired. Elton John's.. haha much more bearable. They engaged the audience throughout the show, even standing amongst the West side crowed for 3 songs. i think two lucky fellows got to high 5 chris martin. damn. hahah. big and small yellow balloons were thrown into the crowd during Yellow too! and i'm pretty certain that yesterday's concert will be made into a dvd, so wait for that! the stage setting, instrumentals, vocals and coordination was perfect. although haha i had a little trouble identifying the opening act...... still they played for a solid 90plus minutes and that's great. there was no intermission per-se but there was time to chill in between. and! the crowd could sing! really well! man, what a night! more photos later..

and here's photos to a recent malaysian farm trip!

these are dragonfruit plants! i wanna grow some..

They're just living in my head
And since I fell for that spell
I am living there as well

Time is so short and I'm sure
there must be something more

I am living there as well

told joy i'll blog a bit more.

haha well sat was sure heck of a fun, made me miss all these even more. made me wonder (maroon5) if.. and to all of you, this is NOT an uncle shirt can. or ah pek shirt for that matter. i happen to quite like it. hmmph. (: haha. they come in bigger stripped ones too, white and black. dinner at far east was nice! ate fuzhou? (don't kill me if i got this wrong) fishballs. they are HUGE and with minced meat inside with soup! It's like a xiao long bao (aka XLB, yeah, gnia?), but is a ball in itself. i wonder if it's on wiki.. oh, and dessert is yummy! first time ttrying this sliced milk thingy, where milk, or flavoured milk is finely sliced, making it a mix of ice kachang and ice cream. there's an article on this in The Sunday Times, check it out! we had the grape one, and the choc one!

looks good eh.

and it's from taiwan apparently, as pointed out by theo. i wanted to get my hair cut, but far east barbers and hairdressers ps-ed me. closeddd. met Martin there, the hair man. hahahaa, he does great hair, ie prom. haha right, jared, jon, gab? (: here are some more photos of sat, compliments to FB and the uploader. (:

here's my first shot at music review. i recently purchased Pink's Funhouse album, and it ROCKSSSS!!!!!! ((: here are my recommendations:
1. Bad Influence
2. Fun House
3. So What?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!!!!?!??!?!!!!!
4. Sober
5. I Don't Believe You

Bad Influence is number one because the music is damn catchy, and pink's voice, attitude, whole package, is perfect for this song. well, it tells me to quit the heavy drinking, which i'm accomplishing. (:

"Alright sir
Sure I'll have another one it's early
Three olives, shake it up, I like it dirty (dirty)
Tequila for my friend it makes her flirty (flirty)
Trust me"

This opens the song. haha.

"Lordy, Lordy, Lordy!
I can't help it I like to party, it's genetic!
It's electrifying, wind me up and watch me go
Where she stops, nobody knows
A good excuse to be a bad influence on you and you (x15)"

and this is the chorus. (: now you know why i like the song. check out this song and the rest! BUT! DON'T DOWNLOAD MUSIC ILLEGALLY! purchase the single or the album. the money's worth it. (:

and then.. there's this friday. 1430! whoooooo! im excited, nervous, jittery and so many more emotions. can't wait! and im going to stop work in 3 weeks!!! and i have one more manual and the compulsory auto lesson.. and then, prac test booking! (: (: this is exciting.

this blog has been stagnant for so long haha even though it's so new. Laziness persists. ):

i visited Bollywood Veggies and the Jurong Birdpark this week!

Bollywood Veggies is a local veg farm located in the Lim Chu Kang area, and is really an escape from the urbane life and landscape we are so used to in singapore. the farm is best visited in the early morning before eleven. it's quite convenient to get there. take a train to kraji mrt station, wait at bus bay 3, for the Kranji express! the first bus is at 9am, and the subsequent ones arrive every 1.5 hours later. the shuttle service stops at 9 different farms all around the area. there are veg and fruit farms, frog farms, fish farms, croc farms. notice the unsettling food chain of sorts?

reaching at 9plus, weather was quite good for a walk around the farm. there are more common crops like rambutan, longang, guava, kangkong.. and there are more special ones like ai ai, coffee, breadfruit tree.. the place is very scenic, and it draws the occasional rare animal. eagles probably top the list. the farm is easy to navigate with a brochure given at the door. also, entrance cost $2, but if you take the kranji express, and get a stamp on your hand, the entrance fee is waived. oh, and the shuttle ride costs, well, $2.

and this was found in the farm. what a beauty. one man excavator. haha.

after all the walking, you'll probably be hungry. so head to Poison Ivy bistro, which is part of the farm, to enjoy organic food. well i had a not so organic prata. but the veg curry is supposedly made with organic veg k. haha well it was a real nice dish. delicious, and the curry is not too spicy, otherwise i wouldn't have been able to swallow anyway. lemongrass drink was nice too, very fragrant scent. food is healthy, with minimal seasoning. salt is referred to as the Poison. look at the first pic, yellow sign. save your kidneys!

heal your soul, thrill your self, kill time. visit this area!

after the farm, headed to the Birdpark. the place has changed so much since my last visit, some 10 years ago. (DUH). more spacious and interesting now i believe, esp with the african showcase. my favourite? the shoebill. google it! it is such a gorgeous bird that can grow up to 1.5m tall, blue feathers and a heck on an awesome beak. look!

for those who have not visited the birdpark in a while, say 5 years? go! for $18, you can spend up to 5hours just admiring the creatures, and watch 2 to 3 animal shows. no matter how many times you've seen it, or how lame you think it'll be, the shows really do entertain, esp when you have enthusiastic volunteers. i shld have raised my hand.. (:

there are tonnes of other photos but i shall upload them another time. (:

and for today, i met up theodora, joycelyn and sheryan. val was there for a bit. missed the girl! haha it's been so long since i last hanged out with them and i miss the fun. they're quite hilarious haha and taking pictures with them is.. an experience man. haha. we all shld meet up again, with hao and leung. i got to see a blond sher. haha that's worth it. OH! and i learnt abt mascara and liquid eyeliner today... hahaha. and that theo has eyelashes like me. short. haha.

we had dinner at far east, and saw how our veg was prepared, namely cabbage. ERRKS. beware ppl.. not the most hygienic trade practice.
had a damn good time today, thanks girls!

whoo driving tomorrow! 3 more to go and vroom vroom. hahaha.
