i'm in sapporo, japan now! arrived here at around 2030 after a connecting flight from tokyo. spent the whole day travelling! from changi, at 0615, to narita, at 1430. connecting flight was at 1835, so i explored narita airport! will post the pictures tomorrow. but it was really big and a real global city airport. there was starbucks, designtshirt.. all situated in 'airport mall'. i drank the freshest grapefruit juice today too! also, i ate at this japanese restaurant myself cos ANA only allowed mum to bring in one guest so she brought auntie elsie in. the meal cos about 1600 yen and it included sashimi, boiled root veggies, tempura, soba and one pint of draft! WOW (: it was a damn good meal after a long flight.

photos tomorrow!

also, went to zouk/phuture with bravo people on wed! it was damn fun and we opened three bottles. thanks dex too! though not many people turned up, whoever was there would tell you it was great still. got to know a few friends too. oh, and sean joined us. ah the usual him. haha. here's some of the night's pictures!

we're waiting for the other two, who didnt turn up. so dex took the tab!

oh and clement went. boy, did he go.... haha!

the before photo (:

and then... boom boom pow!

got to know agatha, sam, elizabeth, rowena... and more! haha, like aggie's gabriel's and yifan's jc friend and all. matthias was so high (:

sirrrrr! haha damn fun night.

next sat anyone? (:

spent this morning in orchid country club. drove around alot before that. mum said i drive way fast. think i better slow down.

gave almeric economic tuition at cafe cartel in j8. place reminds me of my time studying.. cliched but.. time flies. looking around, there were SO many other students studying in MacDonalds, Mos Burger, Coffeebean. why do we study away from home? comfort? well, shouldn't home be more comfortable? atmosphere? i think the library would be best. food and drinks? again, home. i think it is the presence of others doing the same thing, and the fact that being away from home means less immediate distractions. futhermore, you'll have to pay to distract yourself outside. ie, movies, arcade..

gotta teach women in love and wuthering heights tomorrow. even teaching can be draining.

gonna meet guan, alvin, fanglong and gang tonight at the sanctuary.

corona, black label combi time.

i resigned. im retired. wow. although it was only two plus months, i felt almost sad leaving. guess it doesnt take long to get attached to a place. now that work is done, im going to be focusing on... exercise and applications. (: and my driving test!

my desk!

i went to collect my black army specs see, well, i guess they are kinda angular right. just a bit.

i recently went to marina barrage! do go and check the place out, it really is quite the high tech reservoir. however, only go if you have a car. it is a bitch to call for a cab, cos no one knows marina barrage. i called every cab company in singapore to get my ass out of that place, but no.... none came. so i walked, or rather trekked, out of the place at 12 noon. sweat will be the least of your problems out there trust me. alright, apart from the slight inconvenience, i think everyone should go find out more about singapore's water conservation efforts! they even have a mini model of the barrage, that actually works. you can control the tide, etc. plenty of pics but i'll post another time!

went for Kumar: Stripped, Bare and Standing Up on the 21st of March. the show was rather funny but somehow i thought it would be funnier. still, it was a heartwarming showcase of his life. really interesting and worth watching! (: his jokes are really... haha m18.

and yesterday, sunday, i went for Coldplay: The Viva La Vida Tour Live in Singapore! BEST CONCERT EVER. Perhaps even better than Maroon 5's. They played multiple songs from previous albums like Speed of Sound, Yellow, Clocks.. and of cos the new ones too. Viva La Vida, 42, Cemetries in London.. ask anyone who went, I'm pretty sure it's thumbs-up. It probably will be in the papers tomorrow, check that out in Life, ST.

Sound quality was just nice, although i came out a little deaf. Maroon 5's were damn friggin loud. I came out impaired. Elton John's.. haha much more bearable. They engaged the audience throughout the show, even standing amongst the West side crowed for 3 songs. i think two lucky fellows got to high 5 chris martin. damn. hahah. big and small yellow balloons were thrown into the crowd during Yellow too! and i'm pretty certain that yesterday's concert will be made into a dvd, so wait for that! the stage setting, instrumentals, vocals and coordination was perfect. although haha i had a little trouble identifying the opening act...... still they played for a solid 90plus minutes and that's great. there was no intermission per-se but there was time to chill in between. and! the crowd could sing! really well! man, what a night! more photos later..

and here's photos to a recent malaysian farm trip!

these are dragonfruit plants! i wanna grow some..

told joy i'll blog a bit more.

haha well sat was sure heck of a fun, made me miss all these even more. made me wonder (maroon5) if.. and to all of you, this is NOT an uncle shirt can. or ah pek shirt for that matter. i happen to quite like it. hmmph. (: haha. they come in bigger stripped ones too, white and black. dinner at far east was nice! ate fuzhou? (don't kill me if i got this wrong) fishballs. they are HUGE and with minced meat inside with soup! It's like a xiao long bao (aka XLB, yeah, gnia?), but is a ball in itself. i wonder if it's on wiki.. oh, and dessert is yummy! first time ttrying this sliced milk thingy, where milk, or flavoured milk is finely sliced, making it a mix of ice kachang and ice cream. there's an article on this in The Sunday Times, check it out! we had the grape one, and the choc one!

looks good eh.

and it's from taiwan apparently, as pointed out by theo. i wanted to get my hair cut, but far east barbers and hairdressers ps-ed me. closeddd. met Martin there, the hair man. hahahaa, he does great hair, ie prom. haha right, jared, jon, gab? (: here are some more photos of sat, compliments to FB and the uploader. (:

here's my first shot at music review. i recently purchased Pink's Funhouse album, and it ROCKSSSS!!!!!! ((: here are my recommendations:
1. Bad Influence
2. Fun House
3. So What?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!!!!?!??!?!!!!!
4. Sober
5. I Don't Believe You

Bad Influence is number one because the music is damn catchy, and pink's voice, attitude, whole package, is perfect for this song. well, it tells me to quit the heavy drinking, which i'm accomplishing. (:

"Alright sir
Sure I'll have another one it's early
Three olives, shake it up, I like it dirty (dirty)
Tequila for my friend it makes her flirty (flirty)
Trust me"

This opens the song. haha.

"Lordy, Lordy, Lordy!
I can't help it I like to party, it's genetic!
It's electrifying, wind me up and watch me go
Where she stops, nobody knows
A good excuse to be a bad influence on you and you (x15)"

and this is the chorus. (: now you know why i like the song. check out this song and the rest! BUT! DON'T DOWNLOAD MUSIC ILLEGALLY! purchase the single or the album. the money's worth it. (:

and then.. there's this friday. 1430! whoooooo! im excited, nervous, jittery and so many more emotions. can't wait! and im going to stop work in 3 weeks!!! and i have one more manual and the compulsory auto lesson.. and then, prac test booking! (: (: this is exciting.

this blog has been stagnant for so long haha even though it's so new. Laziness persists. ):

i visited Bollywood Veggies and the Jurong Birdpark this week!

Bollywood Veggies is a local veg farm located in the Lim Chu Kang area, and is really an escape from the urbane life and landscape we are so used to in singapore. the farm is best visited in the early morning before eleven. it's quite convenient to get there. take a train to kraji mrt station, wait at bus bay 3, for the Kranji express! the first bus is at 9am, and the subsequent ones arrive every 1.5 hours later. the shuttle service stops at 9 different farms all around the area. there are veg and fruit farms, frog farms, fish farms, croc farms. notice the unsettling food chain of sorts?

reaching at 9plus, weather was quite good for a walk around the farm. there are more common crops like rambutan, longang, guava, kangkong.. and there are more special ones like ai ai, coffee, breadfruit tree.. the place is very scenic, and it draws the occasional rare animal. eagles probably top the list. the farm is easy to navigate with a brochure given at the door. also, entrance cost $2, but if you take the kranji express, and get a stamp on your hand, the entrance fee is waived. oh, and the shuttle ride costs, well, $2.

and this was found in the farm. what a beauty. one man excavator. haha.

after all the walking, you'll probably be hungry. so head to Poison Ivy bistro, which is part of the farm, to enjoy organic food. well i had a not so organic prata. but the veg curry is supposedly made with organic veg k. haha well it was a real nice dish. delicious, and the curry is not too spicy, otherwise i wouldn't have been able to swallow anyway. lemongrass drink was nice too, very fragrant scent. food is healthy, with minimal seasoning. salt is referred to as the Poison. look at the first pic, yellow sign. save your kidneys!

heal your soul, thrill your self, kill time. visit this area!

after the farm, headed to the Birdpark. the place has changed so much since my last visit, some 10 years ago. (DUH). more spacious and interesting now i believe, esp with the african showcase. my favourite? the shoebill. google it! it is such a gorgeous bird that can grow up to 1.5m tall, blue feathers and a heck on an awesome beak. look!

for those who have not visited the birdpark in a while, say 5 years? go! for $18, you can spend up to 5hours just admiring the creatures, and watch 2 to 3 animal shows. no matter how many times you've seen it, or how lame you think it'll be, the shows really do entertain, esp when you have enthusiastic volunteers. i shld have raised my hand.. (:

there are tonnes of other photos but i shall upload them another time. (:

and for today, i met up theodora, joycelyn and sheryan. val was there for a bit. missed the girl! haha it's been so long since i last hanged out with them and i miss the fun. they're quite hilarious haha and taking pictures with them is.. an experience man. haha. we all shld meet up again, with hao and leung. i got to see a blond sher. haha that's worth it. OH! and i learnt abt mascara and liquid eyeliner today... hahaha. and that theo has eyelashes like me. short. haha.

we had dinner at far east, and saw how our veg was prepared, namely cabbage. ERRKS. beware ppl.. not the most hygienic trade practice.
had a damn good time today, thanks girls!

whoo driving tomorrow! 3 more to go and vroom vroom. hahaha.

it's been a while.

alright, chinese new year was cool, went around visiting as with the norm. a cousin of mine who, in my memory, was only like 7 the last time i saw him, appeared this year as a sec 2 student. ?! wow. something must've happened. questions are the same from all the relatives: "so big already arhhh?", "got girlFEND not?", "school how?" (followed by) "WHOA so big already arh?" (after i say i'm awaiting enlistment). then, "you know, your uncle in army.........."  aww, CNY is just so nice. (:

last saturday, ain nicole and i went to macR to run. we were supposed to run from macR to bukit timah right, BUT, ended our run at rifle range road, which, is really really long. haha we hoped into a cab that was coming out. the run itself was really nice. the scenery between sicc and macR reservoir is gorgeous. i didn't have a camera with me so i couldnt take pics, but the next time i'm there i'm sure to. the entire run was apparently 13km, but  i believe we didn't run THAT far, did we, ain? haha. regardless, it was a real treat, you all should have a go at it! begin the run from macR into the forest, along the yellow trail but instead of turning right and making a loop round macR when reaching jeluntong(??) tower , turn left to proceed to rifle range. explore from there.

met dass for drinks with athena that sat. jared seems the same, is very despondent about the hair situation, and needs to shop, right? we had a nice dinner at hardrock, where i had a legendary burger. best. haha so much for the earlier run. went over to sanctuary for drinks and i begun my mission: to try everything on the menu. i believe i had the first 3 drinks on the menu, then dass ordered 5 carlsberg bottles so it stopped there. i'll drink them all by enlistment. (:

oh, and last friday, i went browhaus with gnia. she said some really ridiculous stuff that was damn funny. conforming to.. what was it? well, it ISN'T a disease. i think we saw mirabel and some rj folks having dinner there at suntec. rj folks. right.

i feel like going for a trishaw ride. think it'll be pretty cool. i just don't like the idea of having someone in their 50s or 60s cycling me.

oh, and i wanna buy a nice dslr camera. and a polaroid! suggestions anyone?

can someone be kind enough to tell me what this NEW LIFESTYLE QUARTER is?

work this week has been slack. i'm multi-tasking at my desk, with my desktop doing work stuff, and my laptop showing smallville (: i'm beginning to like the show. and i'm damn pissed, my season 2 disk 2 disk doesnt bloody work. bitches who copied this disk (read: i bought this from shanghai) really could've done a proper job with them all. but, this goes to teach me to buy ORIGINAL. but considering how much i paid for this box, season 1 to 6, like hundred plus, it is as good as original? okay, maybe not. STILL.

gonna start driving lessons this coming tuesday. (: everyday till sunday. can't wait. i can imagine myself fumbling with clutch, accelerator, brake and all that. haven't exercised today. maybe i'll swim tomorrow.

and i heard the results are coming back. real soon.

ran 4.5km today! (: whoooooo!!

had dinner with mel last night in town, thai express. pineapple fried rice is nice, and it's really funny how they place a small, like real small, pile of pineapple chunks at the side to convince you. thanks mel for the mug, using it today alr. here are town pics again. had a great time! (:

and town grows.

and of cos, thai express.

anyway, i wanna wrap my phone. im thinking dragon, but people are telling me no. ):  dragons are cool. fierce, bad and beng.

here's work stuff. my colleague. work makes us insane. (: or at least her.

oh this was found in a local magazine. and this is NOT john cheo. so similar though! haha john, your bro!!

i had a conversation with a friend of mine and was wondering this. where does loyalty end? how much is too much? according to my Mac's dictionary, loyalty is the quality of being loyal to someone or something. loyal: a strong feeling of support or allegiance. support when it's good right, what if the thing at hand is bad? allegiance, or accomplice? it's so easy to misunderstand, but tough to understand. my friend believes that friendship and loyalty are super tight but can be waived in certain times. i think loyalty shouldnt be so based on em personal experience. waived once and it's gone. sigh. let me go think about this more. loyalty.

OH and..

can't wait for sat. MACRITCHIE TO BUKIT TIMAH TRAIL!
can't wait for sun. SUNGEI BULOH.

weekend was so eventful. mahjong challenge on saturday, shopping on sunday. shopping became.. a loooooonggg day of hunting and walking.

i shall do this in reverse.

9.30pm HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8.30pm dinner at lido. subway for me, rice for ain. the stall holder thought ain was eurasian. aww.

lido is so distinct.

before that, we were mainly walking around town and all, like walking and walking. from dhoby ghaut to wheelock. also, m1's offer is this. I trade in my n95, sign a new line, and i pay $198 for a blackberry bold. is it good? sounds reaaaal good and i'm tempted. this is bad.

here's orchard (:

so that back tracks the journey.

after plenty of walking in little india, where ain had to buy traditional bracelets, we were SO exhausted, pizza hut became our shack. haha refueled there before heading down orchard road.

these are beefballs. they weren't mine. as in, not my foodddd.
 breadsticks (:
 AIN (:
4.30pm walking all around little india. i tell  you, it is SO impossible to get a cab around there. almost impossible. plenty of empty cabs, none stop, taxi stand, no cabs. so, mrt was the only way to go. though the walking became a little dreary, the surrounding was damn nice. (: here's little india!

colours are amazingly vibrant aren't they? makes you happy.

1.30pm SHOPPING at raffles city. i got myself a new pair of black 501 jeans from levis, and put another on hold at dhoby which i'm collecting tomorrow. got a read sweater from topman for cny. wanted to buy this white leather belt from raoul but it was dirtyyy. ): got a zara jacket on hold too. haven't collected. crapp.

haha i didn't buy that shirt in the end.

anyways, thanks ain for that amazing day out. took my mind off work for a bit. before reality struck again today. haha. (: had plenty of fun!

nicole came to work today, and her job is.. fun and maybe not so fun. stamping vouchers! hahaaha. and gnia is damn funny. hahaahah what was it that we were talking about at your table? haha and the "haggard" one.... hahaha.

ANYWAY, got my FTT tomorrow. PLEASE LET ME PASS. argh. time to do practices. thanks g gonna use your acc now haha.

today i went for a mahjong challenge. got kicked out in the first round. pro or what. mum survived one more round. then got kicked too. hahah. then gym. and after using machine bench press for so long, doing free weight bench is damn hard, balance is so screwed. well at least i could still manage reasonable weights. still have it.

oh and someone tried making me look like a glutton.. yarrrr...

and meet, what is it? puffy? fluffy?

on friday i was on half day leave cos of the final theory lesson thing. lesson was mundane but at least the instructors did try to crack a few jokes and some were really quite funny. one thing i know, never, as in never, horn at the elderly. never. you should have heard him. haha.

anyway! at the driving centre, someth amazing happened. never tried before, but i was dared into doing it, and.. i still have it. (: ask me if you bother to know i'm not going to post. haha.

was talking to an ex pri and sec school friend, and he told me alcohol is bad for my body. DUH. but haha it still rocks. see this pic. can you see what i see?

my love (:

anyway, some other stuff here.

more artisitic stuff. righttttt.

do you see a slice of watermelon or a face......

nicole came down for her interview today, and she's starting work on monday! congrats (:

we went supermarketing today. g, nic and me. we got a trolley to put the basket in to put like 8 items. what a weird sentence. bought healthy green tea and digestive biscuits! and...... sweets? chocolates? chips? well.. apple chips! healthier. well, these were of course used to stock up our drawer pantry. looks good eh. the plan is to off-set the sweets (read: calories) with the anti-oxidants of green tea and all its super traits. haha. i got a shelling for drinking tea-o......

work was the same, and eiko is threading on thin ice. real thin. hmm.

and that's the green tea. (:

i also learnt to draw. developed the artist in me.

that's a hammerhead shark if you're wondering. from the top. haha. FIERCE.

anyway, read the papers these few days after the Os results are released, and ROCK ON Cat High!! Man it's super amazing. 12 top scorers?! I'm stunned, in a very good way. Improving every year eh. proud to be from gong jiao. (: this brings back memories. lessons started at 7am, lasts till late, but it pays off. congrats to all, regardless of score. you graduated!

watching the new season of american idol now and it's hilarious.i so should audition. (:

went to work today as usual, had breakfast and started counting down the ten long hours..................

had to visit HR for a bit to settle some of nic's stuff, which was settled! good luck with the interview tomorrow. today's work was more interesting. explored the new system and picked at the nitty gritty. could keep me awake despite sleeping so late last night, it must have been something. only today i realised the amount of work that goes into labelling items you see on the shelves, and the simple scanning process at the cashier's counter.. well, there are like hundreds of processes to ensure the barcode scanner works. and so many man-hours are involved in each step.

and i contributed to those hours.

had lunch with g, who had her favourite thing (okay maybe not), favourite junk food...... DOUBLE CHEESE BURGER.

and i got to eat my big mac!

g thinks she looks professional in the pics.. but maybe a glutton too? haha there's so much food, and 2 drinks. COKE somemore.

saved by the watermelon!

and that's a company jacket. get it right.

and so we got back to work.

colleagues we rather docile today, though there was some early morning action. haha. someone got an up-close tutorial with eiko. ((:

anyways, i think i'm beginning to fall into work rhythm. and it's only day 5. argh. well i finished up my work and kind of slacked till knocking off. also, heard sher is working as a sales promoter. that's cool. if only the women won't ignore.. and sharon is working in e. armani. sounds interesting. at least there are things to look at, if not people haha.

jared called last night. dang i miss the dude. vincent's with him and so is joseph. singapore is indeed small. army sounds fun, though there are those who say otherwise. waking up at 5 would be something new for me. goodness i only wake up at 730 on school days, and though i'm always late.. STILL.. (:

 more unhealthy snacks....

went for a run yesterday, slacked today. 3 months time i gotta be super fit. that's my goal. working on the exercise plan. we'll see.

anyway, this is what i created at work during free time, and the contribution of g's jacket and zr's paperclips.

for you, captain sparrow. hahah.

and i even copied out the lyrcis to human, pen and paper. love work. (: oh and g, if you see this, i'm taking half day on friday to attend driving stuff. i don't need to take on the 20th alr i think. and i hope you have calmed down.

wonder what tomorrow has in store for me.

THANK YOU LEUNG for creating this awesome template haha IT savvy ppl rock.

as the title goes...
it's so gonna hurt.

started work with gnia. this is the view from the canteen. not much eh haha.

here's the kind of work i do. i create a form, from scratch that has cool checkboxes and nice straight aligned columns. then, in an excel spreadsheet, i plough through it deleting empty rows and columns based on certain random preferences. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. at least the pay is quite reasonable. but days get long and boring. so, fun gotta come in somewhere.

best fun is always the scandalous fun. and boy is it rampant. haha it needs no elaboration, take a look.

can't see? well it needs to be enlarged. it spells out all the bad office love. haha esp for you g. (: eiko is totally at her neck, in MANY ways. and i, well, have my own issues. like lusty.........

more in the course of the week.

anyway, see, life is hard. dass is in camp, whisky is shelved. sucks. went to indochine on sunday though. catsinecradle was as good as alws.
town has changed so much since genting and shanghai. like nydc in front of the hereen is history, starbucks next to swensens is gone. maybe its just that i havent been out. bumpkin.
